HHAHAHAAH Sorry folks!!
Haven't written in this for a long time!! infact almost 4 months! WOW how time has flown by!!
So heres an update
I am now almost finished my second rotation here in Mount Pearl Newfoundland!
but hey lets back track a long ways!!
Maybe to December?
Sure!!December it is!!
December was a crazy hectic month, with Christmas and all, and finished up work, I have to say that was the month I did not enjoy in Katimavik!!!
January was also pretty hectic, we moved rotations on January 5th, and 5 of us got stranded in Halifax while the other 6 made it to Mount Pearl. So the 5 of us stranded in Halifax got a hotel and had the times of our lifes, man I loved that one day of living in luxury! Sleeping in an amazing bed, having a nice hot shower, and eating good food. All on the katimavik budget. ahah thats the life.
When we finally arrived here in Mount Pearl on January 8th, we were made to go to work site tours. In our miserable tired dirty looking state, and then the next day have interviews. It was HORRIBLE!!!
So after the interviews, of making up stuff seeing as I only saw two work placements, we were told where each one of us was going to work. and low and behold my miserable state was turned into shear happiness. I was placed at the one and only placement I wanted, Morris Academy, an elementary school, which is FANTASTIC. So at my job I am just a teachers assistant, and I love it.
So throughout the 2.5 months that we are here, we have developed as a group with having like no time off. We have gone through trials with our PL who was super insociable and the best times with her too!!
Now that Mount Pearl is coming to an end, I am super sad. I am here in Newfoundland for only 2 weeks longer, and it feels like I should be here for like a month longer. It's crazy.
In two weeks I will be at another rotation camp, and on another plane(or maybe two) off to St Pierre Jolys Manitoba, where I will spend 3 months fighting to keep up with the culture...FRENCH speaking culture might I add!! it's my french rotation and man I'm nervous. I'm not too good at french, and just know that I am going to make a fool of myself, of well who cares, not like I'll likely go back, and hey I'm in Katimavik so who cares if I make a fool of myself right?
so after spending three months in Manitoba I will be once again packing my bags(June 17th to be exact) to fly back home to the wonderful town of Ingersoll, to see my friends and family, whom I love and miss lots!!
Hopefully this was a good enough update for those of you who regularily look at this.
Sorry that I have been a horrible travelling tree...theres just no time to stop and write about my life anymore.
But don't worry I'll try harder now, and maybe update once a month, rather then once every four months:)
Love you all!!
Tree:)
